JKD is the world's most sought after martial arts founded by the legendary Bruce Lee. Before Bruce Lee’s death, Lee had ordered closure of all JKD schools because he was afraid that the art would become commercial & prostituted and would become a franchise chain with low quality of teaching & art would become diluted. After Lee's death Enter the Dragon got released and the world started hunting for JKD. However JKD was unavailable and Karate was easily available. Karate had no resemblance with JKD and was grossly different in its technique & philosophy, yet Karate got identified as Bruce Lees art. Today JKD is a closely guarded art, available to a select few who are keen to learn specifically Bruce Lees art. JKD is not commercially advertised.

Despite his small size, (5feet 7 inch & 57 kgs) Lee proved that in fighting, SIZE is not everything & by scientific technic, one can knock down a heavier, taller & aggressive man. His revolutionary principles of fighting & the deep philosophical approach form the basis of the world famous JKD.
In 1972 before his death, Lee ordered closing down of all his schools teaching his art, Jeet Kune Do, which was Chinese Kung Fu based. After his death, Enter the Dragon was released and the world went crazy after Lee’s Martial art and wanted to learn it.
But Jeet Kune Do was unavailable for learning. At that time, only Japanese Karate was available. Karate got marketed as Lee’s art and suddenly a hundred thousand Karate schools cropped up in various parts of the world.
A Few years after Lees death, JKD was taught for the first time by Dan Inosanto & Richard Bustillo at Filipino Kali Academy & later at IMB Academy.

JKD is meant for adults upto 60 years. Its meant for one who seeks holistic growth. Bruce believed that each man trains at his own pace. That art training has to be tailormade to the individual. That anyone, young or old, man or woman, fit or unfit can learn at his own pace. That JKD has to be taught personally one on one to a student group less than ten in number. The course can be pursued at your own pace- as fast as two months or as slow as six months.

MARTIAL: The JKD Program is a highly tailormade MMA program with all holistic components. In fact Lee is considered as the father of Mixed Martial Arts. All ranges of MMA are included. Kicking, Punching, Grappling & Groundwork all are included.
